The contemplative second movement and the heartfelt mournfulness of the fourth movement seem perfectly tailored for this instrument. The 'earthy' tone of the viola is also well-matched for the somewhat brusque and rustic character of the third and fifth movements.» Sie hat die Violafassung am 13.7.2012 uraufgeführt - und der Komponist hat ihr das «Placet» gegeben. Eine übersichtliche und durchsichtige Komposition.
