Notes from a Diary (mit Klavier) von Haflidi Hallgrimsson besteht aus 15 Teilen. Der Komponist sagt im Vorwort: «When I started work on a composition for viola and piano, my experience in the Ann Frank Museum became more and more the magnet that shaped the musical character of the work. The mysterious, almost secretive sound of the viola seemed perfect for the sound world I wished to create. The piano represents at times the 'outer' world, and viola the 'inner' world.» Ohne Spezialzeichen, aber im ganzen recht schwierig. Immerhin deutet vieles darauf hin, dass Haflidi Hallgrimsson die Bratsche kennt, und man ist weniger frustriert als bei Stücken, wo man den Eindruck bekommt, dass der Komponist keine Ahnung von Streichinstrumenten (im besonderen der Viola) hat. Die Botticelli Fragments mit Cello beziehen sich auf «Dante and Beatrice ascending to paradise» von Botticelli und bestehen aus zwölf kurzen Sätzen oder Fragmenten - von Laien nicht ansatzweise zu erobern (Ms-Kopie).
